IN THE PITS! Is the unique outdoor catering division of The ACI Catering Group, a company that has provided services for major institutions, the hospitality industry and private events since 1973.   IN THE PITS! Is designed to meet the ever-growing demands of corporate and family gatherings.  With our �take charge� concept, everyone is able to participate and enjoy the festivities.

The ACI Catering Group also operates under the name of Brian Averna Caterers and is affiliated with Elegant Events and Abel Caterers, one of New Haven�s leading social and corporate caterers.   Contemplating a Picnic?  Planning a Barbecue?   IN THE PITS! has ample resources that include steamers, barbecue pits, portable refrigeration, supplies of every kind, as well as an outstanding staff of professionals. With all that we provide, IN THE PITS! is able to maintain a pricing structure designed for almost any budget. We serve from 25 to 2,500 people promptly and efficiently; no gathering is too large or small.  Appropriate price adjustments can be made based on the size of your group.

IN THE PITS! can provide unique services for your outing.  We can obtain an activities director, carnival games, sports equipment, all types of entertainment or the simple materials to play ball or have a �tug-of-war�.  IN THE PITS! will provide site assistance as part of our service.  Let our consultants help you with location suggestions when you are not sure where to hold the gathering.  We�ll even take you there!  In addition, we can provide tents, furniture and many accessories.  If transportation is a problem, we will be glad to make those arrangements, too.
